The Networks and Communication Technologies (NETCOM) research group of the University Carlos III of Madrid (netcom.it.uc3m.es) is looking for candidates to work in the area of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
There are several positions open for Engineers in Computer Science or Telecommunications to work in a leading and highly qualified research group with an important international presence. The objective is to work integrated in a team within international consortiums of European project composed by some of the most important companies and research institutions in the SDN and NFV research fields.
Requirements:
- B.Sc., M.Sc. Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Telematics or a related field (Graduated students close to conclude may also apply).
- Very valuable to have knowledge and/or experience with: SDN controllers and platforms (OpenDayLight, ONOS), OpenStack, Virtualized Cloud Computing, Hypervisors, RAN (Radio Access Networks), C-RAN, 5G, security in networking.
- Excellent programming skills related to: Python, Java, C++
- Experience on Linux
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Excellent academic transcripts
