Antonio Fernández Anta, Research Associate Professor at IMDEA Networks Institute, is Program Committee Track Chair for the 34th International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems. ICDCS 2014 will take place from June 30th to July 3rd in Madrid, Spain. Antonio’s extensive experience on this field has lead him to be elected Chair of the “Algorithms and Theory” Track. He heads one of 11 groups which are to select a list of high-quality research contributions on various topic areas within distributed computing, in order to compose a broad and leveled conference program. Over 500 papers and more than 850 abstracts have been submitted for publication to this year’s edition of the conference.
ICDCS provides a meeting place for engineers and scientists in academia, industry and government to present their latest research findings in any aspects of distributed computing, from Big Data to cloud computing, social networks or mobile and wireless computing, amongst others. ICDCS has established itself as a high-quality forum to address distributed computing challenges in the context of a conference that is rich in intense interactions and based on innovative and original contributions by experts in the field.
