Sergey Gorinsky, a Research Associate Professor at IMDEA Networks, gave the keynote talk "Internet Traffic Management: Security vs. Economics" at NPSec 2013, the 8th IEEE workshop on Secure Network Protocols, celebrated in Göttingen, Germany. The NPSec workshop is held in conjunction with ICNP 2013 on October 7th, 2013.

Two Spanish scientists haves been voted onto the Steering Committee of the European Technology Platforms  (ETPs) Net!Works and ISI. They are 2 of the 6 international scientists elected during the joint general assembly held yesterday, October 29th, in Brussels. Among the 25 candidates representing excellence in advanced telecommunications research, 6 Spaniards have bid for a place in this organization that will lead the next decade of European research on mobile communications.

On October 29th, in Brussels,the Joint General Assembly of the European Technology Platforms (ETPs) Net!Works and ISI will elect six international scientists to be part of their Steering Committee. The innovative SOCAM project aims at developing an open-source operating system for mobile devices. This OS will include a module for the analysis of social networks, aimed at feeding app recommendation engines. This tool will enable users to identify the apps that are best suited to their needs or preferences.
