Room 1.1/2 IMDEA Networks Institute, Avda. del Mar Mediterráneo 22, 28918 Leganés – Madrid
Programmable networks or Software Defined Networking (SDN) offers new opportunities to manage computer networks: Make networks smart, introduce new service faster. However, in the real world, there are not enough deployments in industries due to significant organization and technical difficulties such as Hybrid OpenFlow switches, the complexity in SDN applications developing, interacting with non-OpenFlow networks, reliability. The talk presents experience on applying SDN/OpenFlow in real networks. Also the talk will cover the challenges, recommendations, and best practices in this field.
